2013 OASDI Maximum increases to $113,700 from $110,100

Social Security's Old-Age, Survivors, and Disability Insurance (OASDI) program limits the amount of earnings subject to taxation for a given year. The same annual limit also applies when those earnings are used in a benefit computation [such as relocation]. For earnings in 2013, this base is $113,700.

Please note that in the absence of new legislation, the OASDI tax rate for employees will resort to 6.2%. At 6.2% of an individual's income up to $113,700, the maximum OASDI contribution an individual would pay is $7,049.40.
