Equus Software, a leading provider of software for the corporate mobility marketplace announced today it has added international tax cost estimating capability to its AssignmentPro™ global mobility software package.

AssignmentPro is Equus' web-based software for managing global employee assignments. The new tax cost estimate functionality calculates the tax liability for both home and host countries, including the employee's hypothetical portion. The software currently calculates taxes for 6 countries, including US states and Canadian provinces, with 10 to 20 more countries planned by Equus over the next 12 months. Equus will add other countries by special client request.

Other enhancements announced by Equus include fully retroactive compensation worksheet calculations, including support for cost of living and housing differentials, such as those from ORC data tables. The system can now retroactively calculate compensation based upon new information, such as a salary or family change that occurred several months ago but was not included in the employee's original compensation calculation.
